Ms. Lynette M. Belardo began dancing at very early on in life. During a precautionary visit to the doctor at the age of 4, her mother learned that Lynette had a lazy foot. In an attempt to strengthen the muscles in her leg and foot, Mrs. Belardo decided to enroll Lynette into dance… and the rest, as they say, is history.
Lynette has trained in a variety of different dance styles including ballet, tap, jazz, modern, hip-hop and gymnastics. She has had the honor of studying with Debra Mitchell of The New Jersey Tap Ensemble, Bev Brown of P-Funk Entertainment and Safi Thomas of B.L.A.D.E Dance Entertainment. At 17, she served as a substitute teacher for her hip-hop mentor, Bev Brown, at various locations in the metro Philadelphia. She is currently continuing her studies in kinesiology in order to gain a greater understanding of performance in athletics. Lynette is a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC. She has performed in several off-off Broadway plays and is featured in several short films as well as internet advertisements.
In addition to a varied career in dancing, singing, and acting, she has also trained in martial arts since the age of 3. At the tender age of 6, she received her Black Belt, making her the youngest to hold the honor. Her passion for dance, along with a strong work ethic has won her numerous dance and beauty pageants awards. By the age of 13 she was crowned Miss Teen Puerto Rico. From there, she gained extensive modeling experience by studying with the John Casablanca’s Studio.
In 2000, Lynette founded 4 Tha Luv Entertainment, which provided an after-school program for The Golden Door School in Jersey City, NJ. There she taught jazz, tap and hip-hop to children ranging from ages 6-15. Lynette is currently working on developing Footprints LLC a project which will help dancers “get back to the basics of dance”.
